Committee Members

Lindsey Parsons
Secretary
I am a Parish Councillor for Otterhampton and have just retired as a catering manager. I have lived in Combwich for almost 40 years and was heavily involved with the playgroup in it’s early days at the village hall.

Richard Navoy
Trustee
I moved to Combwich in 1996 and quite honestly have never regretted it. I’ve used the Village Hall for more years than I care to remember so thought it would be a good idea to get involved with it. I enjoy music, play in a local band with my oldest son, the others one’s in Plymouth and I have a daughter in Bridgwater who is a regular visitor with the two Grandkids.

Helen Jowett
Trustee
I moved to Combwich 14 years ago from Steart. I used to work at Combwich School as a classroom assistant and now I’m involved with organising the Friday Coffee Morning. My hobbies include music, writing, walking & enjoying time with my 4 children and 8 grandchildren.

Marcus Ford
Trustee
I joined the Otterhampton Village Hall Management Committee in the mid 1990s as a trustee and representative for the Parish Council. Over my years on the committee I have undertaken the role of Treasurer and currently I’m the user group representative for Combwich Short Mat Bowling Club.

Steve Lang
Trustee
I moved to Combwich from Weymouth, Dorset, after serving 36 years in the Military. After arriving in Combwich in 2019 I was made to feel very welcome. I became the Chairman of the Harbour View Bar. I now sit on the Village Hall Committee as a Trustee. I feel very lucky to live in this part of the country.

Sheila Thomas
Trustee
We moved to Cannington from Hampshire in 1972. I retired in 2018 with my husband after we sold Greenway Garage that we ran for 30 years. Since then I don’t know how I had time to work. I joined the WI and the crafting club at Combwich and also belong to a choir. I joined the Village Hall committee as a trustee in my capacity as President of the WI. I look forward to making a contribution to the committee the best way I can.

Karen Armson
Trustee
I believe Combwich is a hidden gem and feel very lucky to be living here. If you are wondering about the traffic queueing to turn into Brookside Road, they are the people still waiting to move into Combwich. I came to the village in June 2024 to live in what is rumoured to be the smallest cottage in Combwich and have received the warmest of welcomes from everyone I’ve met. I am a member of the WI and the Combwich Community Choir and now, as a Trustee for the village hall, look forward to being even more involved in village life, giving help and support and having fun whilst raising awareness of this amazing facility and its potential as a multi purpose resource for the community.

Mike Narraway
Trustee
We moved to the village 2 years ago and immediately found everyone so helpful and friendly, a real community with people dedicated to making it even better. Central to the village is the village hall with all its facilities. I am keen to continue to enhance the hall in any way we can. We always welcome your thoughts and ideas, so let us know.
